Alex Corbett and Walter Andrewkowski, two guys thrown together by chance, now making their way in a crazy universe one adventure at a time. All the while trying to stay one step ahead of the mafia and with the hopes of turning a profit.
These are their original adventures, first published in the 1990's as black and white mini-comics.
So Issue 14 marks the break between the Dirty Baker's Dozen first 13 issues and the second dozen issues leading up to Issue 25. The tone and pacing are different, the art is totally by Jeff now, the cover is not a movie poster parody and we are letting the story take it's own time, not trying to cram everything in to 20 pages.
For some people it was a turn off, but we really wanted a chance to slow things down and let the characters drive the story, not the page count. The first block was really a series of small stories than ran one into the next. This book was more like one longer story that all played out from the end of the last book. Basically, Alex and Walter watched themselves get killed and now they need to deal with the repercussions of that.
